The following case is a medical case of STT osteoarthritis and subsequently STT pseudarthrosis. The 69-year-old patient suffered from severe pain in the area of the STT carpal bones prior to surgery. Despite two attempts to perform STT arthrodesis with metal implants, pseudarthrosis developed between the carpal bones. After removal of the metal implants, STT arthrodesis with two human bone screw grafts was performed, resulting in healing of the pseudarthrosis. The patient is symptom-free and suffers from no limitations.
